![]() Life - The elemental forces of Creation.Earth - The elemental forces of Nature.With the Advent of Valkyrie update to RO2, every monster in the game now possesses one of 5 different Elements. Despite Elements being part of the game's programming since launch, they were never actually enabled in the game. Originally, RO2 Elements mimicked that of RO in that monsters were attributed elements similarly to RO Elements (water, earth, fire, wind, poison, saint, dark, psychokinesis, and death). Monsters have only a defending element, but can inflict elemental attacks using skills.Ĭolumn is based on the attacking element and row is based on the defending element. A player's defending element is always Level 1. Players have both an attacking and defending element, which are both naturally Neutral, but can be changed by equipping certain weapons and armor, using certain skills or items, or compounding certain cards. Attacking elements are not separated into levels. Defending elements are separated into four levels the resistances and weaknesses of a defending element are amplified relative to its level. In RO, Elements can be grouped into two types: attacking and defending. Undead elemental players and monsters are also not affected by the knockback from the Fire Wall skill and are immune to Frozen and Stone statuses and the Provoke skill. Undead - Undead elemental players and monsters can be damaged using the skills Heal, Turn Undead, Resurrection, Sanctuary, Magnus Exorcismus, and High Heal.Ghost - Ghost is only weak to the Ghost element.Cursed Water temporarily enchants weapons with the Shadow Property. Shadow is the opposite of Holy, and does the most damage against it. Shadow - not to be confused with the Demon and Undead types.Sacramenti and Royal Guard's Piety skill. Weapons can be temporarily enchanted with the Holy property using the Priest's Aspersio skill, while armors can be blessed with B.S. Holy - The Holy element is weak against the Shadow element, and does extra damage against the Shadow element.The Assassin skill Enchant Poison can change a weapon's element to poison. Poison - Poison Property should not be confused with the Status Effect.Weapons can be forged with the Wind property using a Rough Wind. Wind - Wind is weak to Earth, and does extra damage to the Water property.Weapons can be forged with the Fire property using a Flame Heart. Water does the most damage to Fire property monsters/armor. Fire - Fire is the opposite of Earth, and does the most damage against it.Weapons can be forged with an Earth property using a Great Nature. Earth - Earth is damaged most by the Fire property, and does the most damage to the Wind property.Weapons can be forged with the Water property using a Mystic Frozen. Water does the most damage to Fire property monsters/armors, and is weakest to the Wind property. ![]() Water - Opposite of the Wind property.All weapons, unless specified, are of the Neutral property. Neutral has no elemental weakness, but the Ghost property is not as effective against it as the rest. A large portion of skills/monsters are Neutral property. Such attacks are referred to as being non-elemental. Some attacks, such as the melee attacks of monsters, have no element and are completely unaffected by elemental modifiers. But if a Hybrid is attacked by something that is both strong and weak against its elements, the strengths will be bypassed and it’ll only deal half damage.In RO, there are ten different Elements. Hybrid monsters have a mixture of strengths and weaknesses depending on their dual types. Types are also weak to themselves and deal half damage to themselves. It’s a Zero Method, or Rock, Paper, Scissors method where everything can be beaten by something else. The Elements fall into a wheel in this game where each is strong against one and weak to another. For example, a fire and light element monster cannot breed.īut a Hybrid monster with the Fire element and another Hybrid with the Light element can breed. Two Hybrid Monsters must breed together in order to get that desired effect. Monsters of opposite elements are unable to breed with one another. And Hybrid Monsters require both temples in order to be enhanced. The Temples also fall in line with the Monsters elements and require them to enhance those specific monsters. ![]() The only way to bypass it is with the help of Temples. Monster Legends has a soft level cap at level 10 for monsters. And Legendary Monsters can only be in legendary Habitats. Hybrid Monsters are able to go to different habitats from their Elements having each of their own. It’s based on the kind of Element they possess. Habitats determine where certain monsters go once they’re hatched. There are ten elements in total in the game. Some monsters have dual typings letting them be two instead of just one. ![]() In Monster Legends, each monster has a different element that defines their type. ![]()
