You can't actually see the park from the main road, Broadway, that runs through the south part of Highland, and the turn off from Broadway onto “Spindler Park Road” is hard to see, because it looks more like an alleyway than an entrance road. Getting to Spindler Park is slightly challenging if you don't use GPS, or don't already know where it is.
